We talk about: challenges faced by working with artists facing barriers to being accepted by the mainstream, how audiences should look at this art without focusing so much on biographies of artists, being present ‘owning it’ and not being afraid to stand your ground, not being disappointed by knockbacks as they will happen time and again, and don’t be afraid to speak up. Acknowledge yourself as an artist when you feel ready to, but remember that patience and determination is needed to get yourself recognition in the art world - it won’t happen overnight, and that’s okay!
