Maria Tani
Maria Tani (b.1986) is a Finnish self-taught artist. She works as a studio artist in Art Laundry, in Vaalijala Knowledge and Care Centre. Tani’s almost microscopically detailed drawings depict her imaginary world, where she often escapes the expectations of everyday life. Some of her favourite subjects are invented sea creatures and mushrooms, which she makes out of tiny dots and lines with great care. Maria Tani is on the autism spectrum.
