DRAWING FEELINGS AND SENSATIONS with CARRIE RAVENSCROFT

Unleash your creativity with the guidance of Neurodivergent and Queer artist, Carrie Ravenscroft, in a drawing workshop that will awaken your senses! In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, our connection to the world around us transformed, even if just temporarily. Carrie's unique workshop invites you to rediscover the world through the captivating lenses of smell, touch, and taste. Whether you're an experienced artist or just exploring your creative side, this workshop welcomes everyone to harness the power of their senses. You'll delve into your senses, capturing the emotions they evoke and translate them into artistic expressions; creating work in whatever medium you desire. This will lead to a larger work incorporating many individual marks and interpretations created throughout and we'll provide you with a suggested list of items in advance of the workshop via email. Don't miss this opportunity to reconnect with your senses and express your unique perspective on sensory exploration.

Creating Soundscapes on Paper with Terence Wilde

Get ready to embark on a sensory journey of artistic expression guided by the incredibly talented and passionate gay artist and educator, Terence Wilde! Join us on 13 November for an online workshop that draws its inspiration from the awe-inspiring healing power of music. Terence Wilde is a visionary artist who has harnessed the transformative force of music to not only ignite his creativity but also to mold and shape his breathtaking visual art. In this session, Terence invites you to dive headfirst into this captivating experience in which you'll create artwork in response to listening to 3 pieces of music. Make marks, write words, and use colours in response to what you hear and how it makes you feel. This will then be explored in a larger work, drawing from the aspects that speak to you the most.

Materials needed:

  • A4 paper - a few sheets

  • Any art material that you feel comfortable working with, be that pencils, crayons, felt pens, watercolour paint, etc

When: Monday 13 November, 6:30–8:30pm
Fee: £10, 20 places available – book through link below
